FEATURES:
Provides measurements of both dissolved oxygen and gaseous oxygen concentrations

Measures the absolute concentration of oxygen
      In solutions: 0.05 - 20 ppm
In gas mixtures: 0.1% to 100%

Does not consume oxygen, allowing for continuous contact with the sample

Interface is standard SMA connector for direct connection to bifucated fiber optic cable.

DESCRIPTION:

Ocean Optics' FOXY Fiber Optic Oxygen Sensor is a spectrometer-coupled sensor which provides accurate quantitative determinations of dissolved and gaseous oxygen concentration. The FOXY sensor consists of a fiber optic fluorescence probe with proprietary thin-film coating on its tip, a pulsed 450 nm Blue LED as excitation source, a bifurcated optical fiber assembly with splice bushing, and OOIFOXY Oxygen Sensor Operating Software.

The FOXY Fiber Optic Oxygen Sensor is a low-power, portable device that offers high sensitivity, reversibility and stability. The small size of the probe is particualrly useful for remote monitoring. Note that the active measuring element, the thin film used in the probe tip, does not consume oxygen; this allows it to be in continuous contact with the sample for long erm monitoring. The FOXY offers other advantages: It's ideal for viscous samples. It is immune to interference caused by pH change and is also immune to changes in ionic strength, salinity, and biofouling.
